Frequently Asked Questions about HRDF


TIP 1 :- A quick way of increasing the size of the font on the computer screen is to hold down the 'CTRL' or 'CONTROL' key and spin the centre wheel on the mouse. By going down you increase the size and by going up you decrease the size of the fonts.

TIP 2 :- I a parent or carer of a disabled person, or I work for an organisation that supports disabled disabled people. Can I join HRDF?
You can be on our mailing list and receive information about our work, our newsletter and forthcoming events, but you can't become a member, as membership is only opened to individual disabled people

TIP 3 :- Am I covered by the term "disabled"?

TIP 4 :- I'm under 16. Can I join HRDF?
No, you need to be over 16 to be a member of HRDF.

TIP 5 :- I would like to become a volunteer of HRDF. How do I get involved?
Contact us and we'll be happy to talk to you about becoming involved.

TIP 6 :- I'm not a member of HRDF but I have some concerns that I would like to raise. How can I do this?
We are always happy to hear about issues affecting disabled people in Hastings and Rother. Please contact us to discuss your concerns.

TIP 7 :- Who runs HRDF?
We are a group of volunteers who are all disabled people and live in Hastings or Rother. We work independently from any statutory organisations. If you would like to know more about the people involved in HRDF's committee, please visit the committee page.
